TGIF…Today God Is First…And I Know God Can Handle It

Wednesday Scripture:

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. I Corinthians 16:13(ESV)

Wednesday Inspiration:

Our Food for thought for today is…remember God can handle it! Whatever your (IT) is, I encourage you to give it to God. Take your hands off of it, and trust him! He is God all by himself, he don’t need our help. The best thing we can do is maintain our faith in God amidst challenging times. All of us have experienced times in our life when we feel depleted and running on empty. We are mentally and emotionally drained. You know the times when it seems like you have one test after another and you can’t see your way out. You feel like that life is being sucked out of you. You’re frustrated, aggravated, and fed up. One thing for sure, you can hold fast to your faith in God. We might not understand what God is doing, but I can assure you that he has a plan and purpose for each and every test that we are faced with. And more than ever it’s imperative that we maintain our complete trust in God. I know that the mean time can be a mean time when we’re waiting on God to move on our behalf. And it’s during these times, that we must apply James 3:5-6 where he instructs us not to lean on our own understanding, but in all of our ways acknowledge him and he shall direct our path. I encourage you to cast all of your concerns, cares, disappointments, anger, and pain over to God. HE can handle it. So often the weight of the burdens that we are carrying is way too heavy for us. God never intended on us to try to carry despair, so on today; let go and let God have his way. Remember Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.  Just have a little talk with Jesus! Tell him all about any doubts that you are having, and be transparent and open with God. He already knows how we feel, he’s just waiting on us to express it to him and ask for help. God is the only one that is going to be able to make a change in our world today. But we must have a heart that is willing and open to receive change and to walk in love and forgiveness. Amen! We serve a God who will do anything but fail! Yes our God can handle it!!

Wednesday Prayer:

Our Father, creator of heaven and earth, we come at this appointed time and place, first pausing to say thank you for blessing us to see another day. Lord we thank you for the things in life that we sometimes take for granted. The air that we breathe, being able to get up out of bed without any assistance, and the gift of our family. We are so grateful for all that you have done for us, are presently doing, and that which you shall do in the future. Father forgive us for our mistakes, for everything that we thought, said, and done that was out of your will. Whether it was knowingly or unknowingly, we repent in the name of Jesus. We honor you, we exalt you, and we magnify your Holy and righteous name. Lord on today we need you to help us to focus on not allowing ourselves to give into our frustrations or losing sight of hope. The hope that gives us the will power to get up out of bed and press through the day when the burdens of life are so heavy upon our shoulders. Because your word teaches us that we walk by faith and not by sight. And for that reason we refuse to give into our flesh and allow it to control us. But we are determined more than ever to lean and depend on you in times like these, for we are reminded that you said in your word if we had faith the size of a mustard seed we can say to the mountain to move from here to there and it will be done for us. We cast every concern, worry, and obstacle unto you. And rest in the assurance in believing that what is impossible with man is possible with you God.  Father we still believe by faith in the power of humanity, use us to spread the importance of unity and love. Please continue to dispatch the angels all around us keeping us safe from dangers seen and unseen. Bless our families, friends, and our loved ones. We love you Lord and we pray that your will be done!
