TGIF…Today God Is First And We Are Blessed To Be A Blessing

Friday Scripture:

Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.  Romans 12:13-15 (ESV)

Friday Inspiration:

One of the things I feel deep within in my spirit that now more than ever God is calling us to be blessing to others. Every smile we see does not mean that a person is really happy. So many people are silently suffering within. Now more than ever we need to check in on each other. Make a point to call people and ask the question, “How are you really doing?” It’s time out for texting, but go old school, and pick up the phone and call so that you can hear their voice. Ask them is there anything that they need? Some people just need to know you care. Now you may be thinking I’m struggling myself. But Paying-It-Forward does not always mean monetary. So many people just need a word of encouragement! It could be a card with a note that says, I’m thinking of you. Pray and ask God how you can be a blessing to others and be specific in your prayer. Ask him to put his (SUPER) on your natural and allow him to work through you to bless someone else. And believe that if you’re willing that God will do the rest! I’m reminded of the wonderful miracle in Matthew 14:18-21 with the Scooby snack? That’s when Jesus multiplied and fed more than five thousand souls with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread? Guess what, he’s still moving mountains today and performing miracles. And if all of us would cry out to him with a willing heart and spirit, can you imagine how many wonders we would behold, because the God we serve is Omni-present! Amen! In 1968 Dianna Ross and the Supremes did a remake of the hit song, “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” and we are in desperate need of more love globally. Pure, unconditional, heartfelt, love! It’s not about us, but all about God being glorified through us. I challenge you to find one person that you can be a blessing to and keep it to yourself. The bible teaches us to not let the right hand know what the left is doing! Amen! Set aside your own need and pray and ask God how you can be a blessing to someone else. I guarantee your heart will rejoice and you will be overjoyed! Spread the good news on today, that Christ still lives! And better days are coming!!

Friday Prayer:

Father we come boldly before your throne, offering a praise of thanksgiving to you for who you are to us individually, as well as collectively as a whole. Thank you for your protection from dangers seen and unseen. Thank you for being so faithful in spite of our short-comings. We are so grateful that you are not like man, you look past our faults and you see our true needs. Please forgive us for anything that we have said, done, and thought that was out of your will. Father give us a clear understanding of what happens when we pay it forward, that one act of kindness could very well change someone’s circumstance for the better. One phone call, one word of encouragement, one meal, could be the very thing that is needed to reignite hope in someone else on today. Please use us to bless someone else. Lead, guide, and direct us in the way that we should go. Oh Lord paint a clear and precise picture of how giving back, will in return bless us during the process.  Father teach us how to take our minds off our own problems and challenges, if only for a moment; and let us focus on letting others know that we are genuinely concerned about their wellbeing. And Lord for those who are already blessing others, I pray that they will receive a mighty blessing on today. We ask that you anoint our efforts, and if we are unable to provide the need in our own might, let us get on the phone and reach out to others to speak life into them and encourage them on today. For we truly believe that we are stronger united together and will come out on the other side better and wiser. Please continue to be with our families, loved ones, friends, Pastor’s, church members, doctors, nurses, first responders, and essential worker. Bless us individually as well as collectively as a whole. We decree and declare that today will be a blessed and productive day. For it’s in your darling son Jesus name we pray, give thanks,  and say Amen!

Application:

Offer Thanks: To him for a divine encounter to bring joy.

Confess: To him anything that will prevent you from giving back to others.
