Monday Scripture:
Colossians 4:2 (ESV) Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
Monday Inspiration:
Happy Monday to you! As you begin your day I want to remind you of one of the many promises that God has made to us: He has promised when the righteous cry out for help, the Lord hears and will deliver us from our troubles. Today whatever you’re standing in need of, please make your request known. Pray without ceasing. Meditate on his word and be obedient to the instructions that he gives you. Amen! Prayer can change people and things. For me that simply means to be (CONSTANTLY) seeking God’s face. I encourage you to read James 5:13-18 (The Prayer of Faith) in your spare time. It’s a sweet reminder that when we pray, God hears us. He may not respond instantly, or when we want him to, but he’s always on time! The important thing is that we make it a priority to draw close to God. Set aside time to listen to God, and not ask him for anything. But to lay at his feet, and allow the HIM to speak to you. He has so much that he wants to speak into our lives! Amen! It is my prayer that all of us will open up our hearts and ears to hear from the Lord on today. Be sensitive to the Spirit as he speaks life and guidance into you. I am reminded that every time we petition his throne…heaven hears our voice. Tasha Cobbs Leonard has a song, “HE KNOWS MY NAME.” Isn’t that good news today? That even with everything going on in the world, God knows us by name. Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for truly you alone are faithful to us. He knows every hair that is on our head. The song writer wrote: No fire can consume me, No battle can turn me, No mountain can stop me, and I’m walking in His victory! Hallelujah! I want to remind you on today that the power of prayer is real! The bible teaches us that the prayer of a righteous person has great power. When we begin to pray to God throughout the day just because of how much we love him, then we begin to grow to another level in him. He walks with me and talks with me and tells me that I am his own! Hallelujah! Thank you Lord! I encourage you to spend quiet time with God one on one! It will change your life. We need to commune with God on a daily basis, WE need him just as much as we need air, food and water. Amen!
Monday Prayer:
Our father, creator of Heaven and earth. We come humbly before your throne of grace, pausing to give you all the glory, honor, and praise. Thank you Lord for yet another day that you have blessed us to see. Great is thy faithfulness. We could search high and low, and still won’t find one greater than you. Please forgive us for our shortcomings, for anything that we have said, done, or thought that was out of your will. Lord you said in your word that if we draw close to you, then you will draw close to us. Father we have so many questions, concerns, and thoughts about what we are witnessing in the world today. So many people are on edge and just need to hear a word from you. Speak Lord for your servants are listening. Father please silence the enemy so that we will only be able to hear your voice. We are trusting in you alone with all of our heart, and we acknowledge that our understanding is minimal. So please lead, guide, and direct us in the way we should go. We also know that without faith it is impossible to please you. We know that we believe in you and your power, but help us where there is doubt and disbelief. Also father help us to be mindful of the words that we speak, that we have the choice to speak life or death. We know that there is a purpose and plan for what we are going through right now. For you said in your word that you have plans to prosper us and not to harm us. And because you are in control, nothing happens in this world unless you allow it. Lord please pick us up where we are torn down and strengthen us when we’re weak. Thank you because we know that your grace is sufficient for us. We ask a special blessing for our families, loved ones, friends, Pastors, homeless, those in hospitals, and nursing homes. Oh lord we’re all standing in need of prayer. Please dispatch the angels all around us keeping us safe from dangers seen and unseen. We love you Lord, and it’s in the mighty name of Jesus we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!
