TGIF…Today God Is First And I’m Focused On Jesus

Thursday Scripture:

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Psalm 42:1-2

Thursday Inspiration:

Let go and let God have his way. The serenity prayer says, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to change the things I can.” Along this journey called life we will have experiences that we have no power over. Life has a way throwing you an unexpected curve ball. But we have been anointed to turn lemons into lemonade. We have no choice on how long that our storms will last.  But we have the power to cry out to God in prayer continuously without ceasing! I am a strong believer that there is power in prayer! My grandmother used to say, he may not come when we want God to, but he is always right on time. Psalm 121:1 I will lift my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my health. We must pick and choose our battles that we are going to fight! Some things we should not even entertain. Sometimes we just have to go through to get to. Some tests are designed to challenge us, stretch us, and expose our character. Remember our God is in complete control and he can handle it. We must be mature to the point where we learn to accept what God allows. Then we understand that it’s a part of his purpose and plan for our life. If God is allowing it, then there is purpose for it no matter how tragic, painful, unfair, or uncomfortable it makes us. Now more than ever we have to fight in the spiritual realm to maintain our peace! Satan is on assignment to kill, steal, and destroy us by any means necessary. He wants our joy, he wants us to walk around thinking that we are defeated. The devil is a liar!! And I came to remind you that we are children of the Most High God. We are heirs to the throne! No devil in hell or on earth can stop what God has destined for our life! Amen! Remember when we say Amen, that means it is so or so be it! And that we are in agreement with what God is doing! So we say Amen to your will God! Amen to your way! Amen we will obey! Help us to be completely focused on listening for your still voice. Speak Lord for your servants are listening. Just like the flowers need the rain, we need thee O Lord! Remember we are over-comers through Christ Jesus!

Thursday Prayer:

Spirit of the living God, creator, sustainer, and keeper of our soul; we come at this appointed time and place pausing to lift up holy hands and to give all thanks to you for blessing us to see another day. Thank you for last night lying down and this morning early rising. Thank you for a reasonable portion of health and strength. Thank you for food, clothes, and shelter. Thank you for your protection and provisions that you shower upon us daily. Thank you for all that you have done, are doing, and shall do in the future. If we have ten thousand tongues, we couldn’t thank you enough. Please forgive us for our sins and iniquities. We repent and ask you to help us to not repeat the same mistakes again. Decrease us that you may increase more in our life.  You said in your word that if my people who are called by my name, would humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then you will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their and. Help us O Lord, we need you to release your healing virtue all across our land. We need a revival! Restore, renew, and replenish our world.  Fill our cups until they run over and then fill them some more. Change us, rearrange us, purge us, and purify us from the top of heads to the souls of our feet. It’s in you, O Lord that we can find our refuge. You said in your word that if we cry out to you, then you will hear us. We are not waiting until the battle is over, we are saying Hallelujah in advance. We are expecting you to move in a mighty way. Give us inner peace that surpasses all understanding…the peace that the world can’t give us and the world can’t take away. We acknowledge that you alone are in control. You can speak a word and turn lemons into lemonade. Father we need you like never before. We surrender our all to you! Bless us individually as well as collectively as whole. For it’s your darling son Jesus name we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!

Praise: God that he loved us enough to send his son to die for our sins.

Confess: Any time that you have tried to take control of situations in your life.
