In Honor Of Women’s Month: We give thanks for “Rosa Parks.”
Wednesday Scripture:
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust, I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? Psalm 56:3-4
Wednesday Inspiration:
The bible is clear in 2 Timothy 1:7 that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind.” Yet if we’re honest and transparent there are a lot of things that cause us to be uneasy, afraid, or alarm us. Some fear the unknown, flying, heights, scary movies, insects, snakes, and the list goes on and on. But I am reminded that God won’t put more on us than we can bare. F.E.A.R is….False Evidence Of Appearing Real. So often when we feel that our back is against the wall, we begin to doubt and second guess what we know is the truth. And that is our God is faithful and promised not to every leave nor forsake us. Everything we experience, God is right there with us. The God we serve is an encore God. He blesses us over, and over, and over, and over again! If he’s done it once, he will surely do it again. Now is not the time to allow fear to dominate our mind, but we must take control of every negative thought the second it comes in and refuse to believe it. Isaiah 41:13 For the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you. Remember if God be for us, who can be against us? He has put everything inside of us that we need to be victorious and to make it to the other side. We’re all going through this test and season together, so when you’re having a rough day, Call out to God, then pick up the phone and call a life line. God said we have not because we ask not. I encourage you not to allow the enemy to steal your joy and cause you to be afraid. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, but just remember you are not alone. Be courageous and stand in the power and authority that God has given us. Remember it ain’t over until God says so…He has the last say so! I encourage you to Rebuke fear, doubt, and worry, and speak the word of God out loud into the atmosphere! Don’t allow Satan to keep you in bondage by being afraid. Yes we’re going to have moments, but we cannot stay stuck like Chuck. God is our refuge in a time of trouble. Every step we take, God is with us, for I am reminded that he said that when we are weak that is when His power is made strong. Step out the boat and walk boldly into this new season expecting great things to come!
Wednesday Prayer:
Most holy and all wise God, father we thank you for another day. Thank you for your grace and mercy that is new each and every day. Thank you for loving us in spite of us. Thank you for life, the air we breathe, and for the little things we sometimes take for granted. Please forgive us for falling short of your glory. We come humbly laying at the alter bowing down before you, and releasing to you every concern and burden that is heavy on our heart right now. Father give us the strength and the boldness that is needed to take a stand against the spirit of fear. For we are reminded that you have instructed us in your word to cast all of our cares unto you. Thank you Lord for being concerned about everything that concerns us. We acknowledge that we have only so much power, but you Oh God our omniscient…all knowing, strong, and all powerful. And because of that we trust you, your will, your word, and your timing. You are so worthy to be praised! Truly there is none like you in all the world. We honor you, we exalt you, and we magnify your holy name. We pray for those who have lost love ones to Covid-19. We pray for our essential workers and their families. Thank you for the vaccination, and we pray for peace for those who are undecided in taking it. Father you said in your word that perfect love cast out fear, help us to choose unconditional love on today. Lord we are seeking your face with our whole heart, please hear our cry. We ask a special prayer for our children during this time. Oh Lord we need you, rain down on us, release your healing and your peace all over the land. We know that you can and will do anything but fail. We decree and declare that we will be strong and courageous and we will not be afraid! We love you and we can’t make it without you. For it’s in the mighty name of Jesus we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!
