TGIF…Today God Is First, And I Need Him Daily

Monday Scripture:

Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him. Proverbs 30:5 (AMPC)

Monday Inspiration:

Monday’s motivation…I need thee! What is it that you think you must have to jump start your morning? Is it coffee (Starbucks), coke, herbal tea, OJ, hot chocolate, smoothie, energy drink, or cappuccino? What gets you going in the morning?  How about a dose of God’s daily bread…his word? There’s nothing like starting your day off with God’s word. His word gives us revelation, clarity, peace, guidance, direction, it will restore our joy, and uplifts our spirit. Amen! In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 it reminds us that “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The English-language proverb says: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” But the word of God does so much more than that. A daily dose of His word will restore, renew, replenish, heal, and deliver you. Amen. O Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him. I encourage you to take your time reading, studying, and meditating on his word.  Allow his word to digest in your spirit…taste it and chew on it long enough to get the full flavor…allow God’s word to speak to you. Amen! Apply His word to your everyday routine. He said that his word would not return to him void. Every promise that He has spoken to you, if we believe by faith; will come to pass in due season. The word of God is a lamp unto our feet; it will never lead us astray. I encourage you to lose yourself in the word of God. Allow God’s holy word to guide you and instruct you in the ways that are pleasing unto him.  As our world is slowly reopening, I encourage you to continue to seek God’s face for guidance and direction. Allow his word to order your steps. I pray that you have a beautiful day in the Lord!

Monday Prayer:

Our Father, creator of heaven and earth, we come as humbly as we know how to come; to bow down before you and bask in your glory once again. We come with a thankful heart, pausing to give you glory, honor, and praise. Have mercy on us Lord, please forgive us for our shortcomings, for our sins and our iniquities. And please forgive those who have sinned against us. Father please silence the enemy, that as we read and meditate on your holy word; that we will hear your voice clearly. Lord we need you! We need your word and your wise counsel. We need you to order our steps, our walk; that everything about us will line up with your will. We need you to comfort those who are mourning. We need you to show yourself strong in our lives on today.  Father and as we read your word please give us understanding of what you are saying in your word. We delight in the revelation that comes from studying your word. Teach us how apply your word so that we will not be guilty of sinning against you. Jeremiah said it best, it’s like fire shut up in our bones. Your word O Lord is alive and full of power. Father we desire to not only be hearers of your word but to also to be obedient to your word. Open up our spiritual eyes that we may see things from a clearer point of view.  Speak Lord for your servants are listening. We thank you in advance for the clarity that will be birthed from the time we spend with you. Father we pray for our cities as they are reopening, please remind us to walk in wisdom and not let our guard down. Thank you for the vaccine, but remind us that people are still testing positive for Covid-19.  Please God, we need you to heal our land. Bless us individually as well as collectively as a whole. For it’s in Jesus name we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!
