Monday Scripture:
Anxiety in a man’s hear weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad. Proverbs 12:25
Monday Inspiration:
Monday’s Motivation is to make the decision to be determined to live your life free from worry and anxiety. Prayer and worry cannot exist in the same space. Encourage yourself in the Lord! Speak positive affirmations in the atmosphere and trust and believe that our God will do anything but fail. John 15:7 teaches us: If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. Erykah Badu released her hit song “Bag Lady” in 2000. And the line that resonates with me right now is “Bag lady you gone hurt your back dragging all them bags like that.” Right now so many of us are carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders. We are all guilty of being loaded down with burdens at one point or another. They range from finances, strained marriages, broken relationships, emotional trauma, failing health, unexpected grief, and you name it and it can be a crushing weight. I want to encourage you to walk in your God given freedom. Freedom from the lies that Satan has fed you. Freedom from who They say you used to be. News flash all of us have a past! But God said in 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! Receive your Freedom from the heavy burdens that we are currently carrying that God had no intension for us to do. Take back your power and speak against whatever it is that is weighing you down. Make an honest effort to hand it over to God. As believers, we must allow our words and actions to line up with one another. We must live out 2 Corinthians 10:5 “We take captive every thought.” The battle of carrying burdens start first in the way we think. It is truly a battlefield of the mind. I understand that Covid-19 has affected us all differently. But we must mature to the point where we make the decision to refuse to worry. And we do that by applying Joshua 1:8 “Meditate on the word day and night.” Please don’t allow yourself to be held in bondage to burdens. We will encounter circumstances that are completely out of our control, and the freedom comes WHEN we understand that it’s bigger than us. And the good news is, God can handle it. Let go and let God have his way!
Monday Prayer:
Father we come boldly before your throne of grace, giving you all the glory, the honor, and the praise! Thank you for waking us up this morning and starting us on our way. Thank you for your unconditional love and loving us in spite of us. Thank you for your presence and power in our lives. We love you Lord, and we can’t make it without you. Please forgive us for anything we have said, done, and thought that was out of your will. Oh lord purify us from the inside out. On today we come declaring and decreeing that we are casting all of our cares upon you. We acknowledge and we believe by faith that you can and will do anything but fail. Thank you that the impossible is possible with you! And that you promised in your word that you wouldn’t put more on us than we can bare. Father please give us the wisdom and knowledge to know when to hold them and when to fold them. Thank you that when we are in distress that we can call upon your name and you will be sure to come see about us. We lay down every burden, concern, worry, and obstacle at the altar. Show us how to walk away and trust that you will intervene on our behalf. And that before we say Amen, you are already behind the scenes working it out for our good. You are an awesome God! All that we are, and all that we shall be is by your grace and mercy. We ask a special blessing over every decision that we will make on today. Lord give us guidance and directions in every area of our life. Please help us to be obedient to your word and instructions that you give us. Even if we don’t understand it, help us to walk in faith and surrender our will for yours. We pray that you will continue to keep us safe from dangers seen and unseen. Be with our families, friends, and loved ones. Help us Lord, we need you and were calling on your name. Bless us individually as well collectively as a whole. For it’s in your darling son Jesus name, we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!
