TGIF…Today God Is First And He Alone Is In Control

Friday Scripture:

Isaiah 45:7 I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity, I am the Lord, who does all these things.

Friday Inspiration:

God is in control! And he can handle it. I encourage you to let go and let God have his way! Remember it isn’t over until God says so. Cast all of your concerns and worries unto the Lord. I promise you that He can handle it. Carrie Underwood released a beautiful song in 2005 entitled “Jesus Take The Wheel”. And so often I think a lot of us are guilty of assuming that we’re at Burger King and we can have things our way. But it’s the farthest thing from the truth. There is only one, who reigns, rules, and who is in complete control, and that is our heavenly father. Our God has the last say so. My question today is, Who’s driving you? Are we giving into our sinful nature and lifting up holy hands in vein; or as sign of true surrendering to the Spirit of God? Who are we allowing to control us, is it our spirit or our flesh? If truth be told a lot of us are guilty of allowing ourselves to be driven by envy, greed, money, revenge, hatred, bitterness, revenge, and our payback. All of which are driven by our flesh.  At one point in our lives, we may have allowed ourselves to become caught up with the ways of the world. When God is expecting us to embrace our spirit man and bring our flesh under subjection to his will. That means denying our flesh and having the will power (an inner desire) to have self-control. Including rejecting the desires of the flesh and choosing to walk under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. And we do that by humbling ourselves before God, sometimes biting our tongues, and checking our attitudes at the door. Amen! I wonder have we lost our focus in the midst of the pandemic. Now more than ever we need to line up our will with that mimics Gods’ plans for our lives. God is the center of our joy! God is the author and finisher of our faith! Now is the time that we recognize that it’s not about us, but all about God being glorified through us. We owe God our very best and we are obligated to live a life that is pleasing unto him. Remember all that we are, and all that we shall be is because of the grace of God. For I am reminded that only what we do for Christ will last. Keep your head up, and remember that He has a purpose and a plan for your life! Amen!

Friday Prayer:

Most holy and all wise God, father we come before your throne of grace giving you all thanks, honor, and praise that is rightfully do unto you. Truly there is none like you in all the earth. Thank you for the many blessings that we sometimes take for granted. Thank you for every open and closed door and for peace in the midst of the storm. Great is thy faithfulness. Truly you are an encore God, and you bless us over and over again. Please forgive us for falling short of your glory! We acknowledge our short-comings, our sins, and iniquities. Please help us to not repeat the same mistakes over again. We are striving daily to be the men and women that you have called us to be. We intercede on behalf of our families, loved ones, and our friends, Father continue to bless and keep them. Lord please dispatch the angels all around them keeping them safe from dangers seen and unseen. Father show us how to crucify our flesh and deny the desires of our flesh. We desire to walk fully in the Spirit. Show us how to test the Spirit by the Spirit as we strive each and every day to be in your will. Lord we come against and we bind up every demonic attack and that has been launched against us. We declare and decree that we will surrender every area of our life over to you. We will no longer be held hostage to sin and the ways of the world. We ask that you have mercy on us O Lord, for the times that we experienced moments of weakness and being caught up in those things that causes you to frown. Father order our steps, our talk, and our walk that everything about our very being will line up with your will. Help us to be better today than we were on yesterday. And we will continue to give you all the glory, honor, and the praise. Bless us individually as well as collectively as a whole, for it’s in your darling son Jesus name we pray, give thanks, and say Amen
