TGIF…Today God Is First And In The Midst Of It All He Remains Faithful

Tuesday Scripture:

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. Psalm 118:8 (ESV)

Tuesday Inspiration:

Looking ahead to the future: The song writer wrote: “I can see clearly now the rain has stopped.” If truth I truly believe that over this past year we’ve learned a lot about ourselves, family, friends, and our country. We lived through a deadly pandemic, systemic and pervasive racism, a loss of income, many lives taken to soon by Covid-19, protesting, and what we once considered as a normal life style. Oh but God!! In the midst of all, our God has still been faithful!  “I wonder what each one of us will take away from this experience.” Will we be stronger in our faith? Will we go back to business as usual? Will we change our outlook on life? Will we value others and have more love for our brothers and sisters? Will we get our house in order for God to return? Will we shift and change our perception? Then I recall that throughout this journey, all of us have had to rely solely on God at one time or another. FROGS…Fully Relying On Gods Strength. That means to fully let go and allow God to have his way in every area of our lives. Isaiah 26:4 So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock (the Rock of Ages). And what gives me peace is the part in that scripture that says: HOPE CONFIDENTLY IN HIM! Remember in Genesis chapter twenty-two when God tested Abraham and gave him instructions to take his only son Isaac and offer him as a burnt offering? Abraham didn’t hesitate, he didn’t wavier in his faith. Instead he got up early, and with great faith in God, he said that the Lord would provide the lamb for the burnt offering! This story is so powerful! Abraham displayed a FROG like mentality! He didn’t try to handle things in his own power, but yet he had no doubt that God would indeed! And just like he provided for Abraham, God has showed himself strong by providing for us.  We must learn to respond to every trial or test that we encounter with the faith that comes from KNOWING that God will take care of you! Philippians 4:19 says: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus.” I don’t know how you feel about it, but that’s good news today! Our God always has a ram in the bush! He’s better than All State and I can say with every part of my being that I am “Fully Relying On God’s Strength!” Amen! Sometimes we just need to move to side, get out of the way, and allow God to do his best work. For I believe that better days are coming, in his timing!!! Amen!

Tuesday Prayer:

Hallelujah! Lord we thank you for one more day! Thank you watching over us as we slept and slumbered. Thank you for your hands of protection that keeps us safe from dangers seen and unseen. Lord you are so worthy to be praised! Thank you for being all mighty and powerful! Thank you for making a way out of no way! Thank you for blessing us in spite of us! Thank you for loving us unconditionally! Great is thy faithfulness! We come asking that you forgive us for our sins and iniquities, and for falling short of your glory. Show us how not to lean on our own understanding but in all our ways to acknowledge you and allow you to order our steps. You are the author and finisher of our faith. It’s in you we move and have our being! Thank you because we believe by faith that you are able to bless us in the middle of our test! Some of us are weak right now, the load we are trying to carry is heavy. You said in your word for us to cast all of our cares upon you, because you care for us.  So symbolically we are letting go, and allowing you to take the wheel! Its times like these that we recognize that this a moment when there is only one foot print in the sand, because it is truly a strength that is not our own. Thank you for being an encore God, one who blesses us over and over again. Thank you that you don’t call the qualified, but you qualify the called. We thank you as we become diligent in waiting upon you (while serving you, we thank you for renewing our spiritual strength. We touch and agree in the spirit realm and we cast off every evil work of darkness from our life that is trying to hold us back. We cancel out every plot, plan, and trick of Satan and we render him helpless, powerless, inoperative, and ineffective. And father we thank you because we believe by faith that this too shall pass. Thank you Lord for being way maker and mind regulator! Thank you for being Jehovah-Jireh, our provider. Bless us individually, as well as collectively as a whole. We need you Lord like never before. It’s in your darling son Jesus name we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!
