TGIF…Today God Is First And I’m Focusing On Him

Monday Scripture:

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Psalm 42:1-2

Monday Inspiration:

On today I wanted to remind you of the serenity prayer, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to change the things I can.” There will be times in our life that we will experience things that we have no power over. For example the Covid-19, cancer, crime, and the state of our economy. We have no control over how long this pandemic will last. But the good news, we are connected to the one who is all mighty and powerful! And because of that we can cry out to God in prayer continuously without ceasing! I am a strong believer that there is power in prayer! My grandmother used to say, he may not come when we want God to, but he is always right on time. Psalm 121:1 I will lift my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my health. We must pick and choose our battles that we are going to fight! Some things we should not even entertain or allow to affect us in any way. Sometimes we just have to go through, to get to. Some tests are designed to challenge us, stretch us, and expose our character. Remember our God is in complete control and he can handle it. We must grow and become mature spiritually to the point where we can accept what God allows. We understand that it’s a part of his purpose and plan for our life. IF God is allowing it, then there is purpose for it no matter how tragic, painful, unfair, or uncomfortable it makes us. Now more than ever we have to fight in the spiritual realm to maintain our peace! Satan is on assignment to kill, steal, and destroy us by any means necessary. He wants our joy and he wants us to walk around thinking that we are defeated. Well I came to remind you that we are children of the Most High God. We are heirs to the throne! No devil in hell or on earth can stop what God has destined for our life! Amen! Remember when we say Amen, that means it is so or so be it! And that we are in agreement with what God is doing! So we say Amen to your will God! Amen to your way! Amen we will obey! Help us to be completely focused on listening for your still voice. Speak Lord for your servants are listening. Just like the flowers need the rain, we need thee O Lord! Remember we are over-comers through Christ Jesus! Amen!

Monday Prayer:

Spirit of the living God, we come at this appointed time and place pausing to lift up holy hands and to say thank you for blessing us to see another day. Thank you for last night lying down and this morning early rising. Thank you for food, clothes, and shelter. Thank you that when we woke up we were clothed and in our right minds. Lord we thank you for a reasonable portion of health and strength. And as we begin this week, we pray for your favor and guidance. Please forgive us for anything that we have said, done, and thought that was out of your will. Father cleanse and purge us from the inside out. Lord in these trying times, show us how to keep our focus on you. To continue to look towards the hills which our help comes from. And yet in the midst of it all, we know that you’re still worthy to be praised. You said in your word that if my people who are called by my name, would humble themselves, and pray, and seek your face, and turn from our wicked ways; then you will hear from heaven, and will forgive out sins, and heal our land. Help us O Lord, we need you to release your healing virtue all across our land. We need your forgiveness and your mercy to rain down on us. Fill our cups until they run over and then fill them some more. Change us, rearrange us, and purify us from the top of heads to the souls of our feet. It’s in you, O Lord that we can find our refuge. You said in your word that if we cry out to you, then you will hear us. Give us inner peace that surpasses all understanding…the peace that the world can’t give us and the world can’t take away. We acknowledge that you alone are in control. You can speak a word and turn lemons into lemonade. We believe by faith that our best is yet to come. And our latter shall greater. We put it all in your hands. This and that, we cast in all unto you. We thank you that you have created us to be more than conquerors. We are survivors by nature. And when we come out of this storm, test, and trial, we shall come forth as pure gold. Father we need you like never before. We surrender our all to you! Bless us individually as well as collectively as whole. For it’s your darling son Jesus name we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!

Application:

Praise: God that he loved us enough to send his son to die for our sins.

Offer Thanks: To God that he created us in his image!

Confess: Any time that you have tried to take control of situations in your life, instead of trusting that God will work it out.

Ask God: During your quiet time deliver us, and heal our land.
