Friday Scripture:
“Order my steps in your word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalm 119:133
Friday Inspiration:
Let go and let God have his way! As the days are quickly approaching the time for us to vote, a lot of people are filled with anxiousness and feeling uneasy. The one thing that gives me peace is that I refuse to put my faith in man. I understand that at the end of the day, the decision is in God’s hands. I am reminded that His will shall prevail. And as I am learning to accept what God allows, I trust that the outcome will work out for our good. Have you surrendered your all to Jesus? Please join me, and say these words with me: “All to Jesus I surrender; All to Him I freely give, I will ever love and trust Him.” This is a line in the song “I surrender all.” I recall as a child singing this song and not really understanding what the words meant. But as I’ve matured along the way, I know exactly what it means to surrender all. To put my complete trust in God. To apply his word to my life, and to try to live a life pleasing unto him. I encourage you today, to Let go and let God have his way. Invite God to come in, ask him to decrease you that he may increase more in your life. Aren’t you tired of trying to do things your own way? Do you know how much more successful we can be, if we move to the side, and allow the good shepherd to give us guidance and direction. So often we get ahead of God’s plans for our life. He desires for us to go to the left, but we are so focused on our layout and how we see our life going…That we are busy going right and making the wrong choices. Proverbs 16:9 says The hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes his steps. Our bible teaches us in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on our own understanding; in all our ways acknowledge him; and he will make our paths straight. I don’t know how you feel about it, but I desire to be in the will of God. So I do my best to seek God’s face, I pray for instructions, I ask God what he would have me to do. I don’t always get it right, but I strive daily to be in his will. I put forth an honest effort. And so on today, I challenge you to allow the Lord to order your steps. And remember, a delay from God is not a denial!
