Tuesday Scripture:
But fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
Tuesday Inspiration:
As I meditate on Galatians 5:22-23 and I think about walking in the fruit of the Spirit; I think about the (-) in between our date of birth and the date of our death and that hyphen represents our fruit that we bared while we were here on earth. It also reminds me of Matthew Chapter 7 beginning with verse 5, where he warns us about false prophets. And how they will come to us in sheep clothing, and he goes on to say that inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Then what catches my attention is that he said that we will know them by their fruits. Yes I understand that we are still in a pandemic. But what kind of fruit are you bearing? Now more than ever let us strive to apply and walk in the fruit of the Spirit. We have a long list of reasons why we could be frustrated. But if you are still in the land of the living, then God has a mighty purpose for your life! We still have (unfinished business). You may be in the hardest fight of your life, but stand boldly on God’s holy word and tell Satan to hit you with his best shot. God has poured everything inside of us that we need to be successful! Walk in your anointing and embrace the authority that God has given us to defeat the enemy. For I am reminded that when Jesus rose on the third day he got up on the third day and conquered every illness, sickness, virus, disease, generational curse, strong-hold, habit, hang-up, relationship issues, and financial stability, we will ever encounter. All over social media you see people affirming that they are walking in 2020 like a boss. Guess what HE is the ULTIMATE Boss! I encourage you on today to put your best foot forward. Walk completely in unconditional love. Remember we all are a work in progress. The bible teaches us that love covers a multitude of sins. We are only responsible for ourselves and how we respond to others. Please allow the fruit of the Spirit to be your guiding force today and always.
Tuesday Prayer:
Spirit of the living God, creator of heaven and earth. We come as humbly as we know how to come, bowing down before you to bask in your glory once again. Truly there is none like you in all the earth. We love you, we need you, and we can’t make it without you. Father we don’t even want to try, please order our steps that our walk and our talk will line up with your will. Forgive us for our sins and our iniquities. O Lord and forgive us falling short of your glory. Help us father to be better on today than we were on yesterday. You are our all in all. There’s nobody greater than you. Thank you because we’re so grateful that you know us by name. You know every hair that is on our heads. You know the good, bad, and the challenging side of each of us; and yet you still love us unconditionally. We are so grateful that you are not like man; Lord you look past our faults and see our needs. Help us to sew good seeds and leave to focus on leaving a legacy. Not just any legacy but one that our children grab hold of and keep the vision alive. Great is thy faithfulness. Father help us to walk in unconditional love; and to extend grace and mercy to others. Father show us how to set aside our own needs during this pandemic and seek out someone that we can be a blessing to. Change us O Lord, for we desire to be more like Christ. All that we are, and all that we shall be is by your grace and mercy. We claim the victory over everything that our hands touch on today. We ask for a special blessing over those on the front line. For it’s in your darling son Jesus name we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!
