TGIF…Today God Is First And I Rebuke Fear In The Name Of Jesus

Thursday Scripture:

The Lord is on my side, I will not fear. What can man do to me? Psalm 118:6 (ESV)

Thursday Inspiration:

The bible is clear in 2 Timothy 1:7 that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind.” Yet if we’re transparent and honest there are a lot of things that cause us to be uneasy, afraid, or alarm us. Some fear the unknown, flying, heights, scary movies, insects, snakes, and the list goes on and on. Then in comes 2020 and she came in with a vengeance…Covid-19, social distancing, injustice, racism, and mental anxiety. Whew…if you’re like me then you’re asking the question, “How much more can we take?” Then we calm down and remember that God won’t put more on us than we can bare. F.E.A.R….False Evidence Of Appearing Real. So often when we feel that our back is against the wall, we begin to doubt and second guess what we know is the truth. And that is our God is an encore God. He blesses us over, and over, and over, and over again! If he’s done it once, he will surely do it again. Now is not the time to allow fear to dominate our mind, but we must take control of every negative thought the second it comes in and refuse to believe it. Isaiah 41:13 For the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you. Remember if God be for us, who can be against us? He has put everything inside of us that we need to be victorious and to make it to the other side. When you’re having a rough day, pick up the phone and call on someone you trust and know that they can encourage you and wheel you back in. God said we have not because we ask not. I encourage you not to allow the enemy to steal your joy and cause you to be afraid. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, but just remember you are not alone. And remind yourself that our God has the last say so! I encourage you to Rebuke fear, doubt, and worry, and speak the word of God out loud into the atmosphere! Don’t allow Satan to keep you in bondage by being afraid. Yes we’re going to have moments of weakness, but we cannot stay stuck like Chuck. God is our refuge in a time of trouble. Every step we take, God is with us, for I am reminded that he said that when we are weak that is when His power is made strong.  To God be the glory! This too shall pass!

 Thursday Prayer:

Now unto him who is able to keep us from falling, to the one and only true God. Father we cone as humbly as we know how to come, pausing to say thank you for another day. Thank you for your grace and mercy that is new each and every day. Thank you for loving us in spite of us. Thank you that when we woke up we were clothed and in our right mind. Thank you for food, clothes, and shelter. Thank you that are families are all doing well. Lord we thank you!! Please forgive us for falling short of your glory. We come once again laying at the altar, bowing down before you, and releasing to you every concern and burden that is heavy on our heart right now. Father give us the strength and the holy boldness to take a stand against the spirit of fear. For you have instructed us in your word to cast all of our cares unto you. Thanking you for being concerned about everything that concerns us.  We acknowledge that we have only so much power, but you Oh God our omniscient…all knowing, strong, and all powerful. And because of that, we trust you, your will, your word, and your timing. You are so worthy to be praised!  Truly there is none like you in all the world. We honor you, we exalt you, and we magnify your holy name. We pray for those who have lost love ones and are grieving. Please comfort them during this time of heartache. We pray for those who are sick in their bodies. Father you said in your word that love cast out fear, help us to choose unconditional love on today. Lord we are seeking your face with our whole heart, please hear our cry. We ask a special prayer over our children during this time. Oh Lord we need you, rain down on us, release your healing and your peace all over the land. We know that you can and will do anything but fail. We declare and decree that we will be strong and courageous and we will no longer be afraid to step out the boat and walk fully in what you have called us to do. Anoint our hands on today, that everything that we touch will be blessed. We love you and we can’t make it without you. For it’s in the mighty name of Jesus we pray, give thanks, and say Amen!
